Charles Darwin was a 19th Century Naturalist, Geologist and Biologist who developed the theory of natural selection (as opposed to artificial selection involving selective breeding) leading to the develop of the theory of evolution. He published his findings in 1859 in his best known work entitled “On the Origin of Species”
