we have 6 friends and 4 apples so we have to do 6÷4 which equals 0.6 or 2/3 of an apple
every friend gets 2/3 of apple each
off you cut each of the four apples into 6 pieces you have 24 pieces. If the 24 pieces are divided equally than each friend should get 4 slices, or 4/24
