Answer: AA'+BB'+CC'+DD'+EE'=31.5 inches.

therefore ,if line segment YZ was used to translate ABCDE then

⇒ YZ=AA'=BB'=CC'=DD'=EE'=6.3 inches

Thus AA'+BB'+CC'+DD'+EE' =5 times YZ=5×6.3=31.5 inches.
