Here are all the steps into solving this equation for "x" :

x/-2 = -6

multiply each side of the equation by -2

(any two negatives, when multiplyed together, become one positive)

x = 12

Bring the -2 to the other side of the equation by multiplying both sides by -2.
You will end up with x= 12 because two negatives make a positive and 2 time 6 is 12
