The question gives the mass of [tex]CO_2[/tex] and molecular mass of [tex]CO_2[/tex]

Hence the moles would be,

[tex]2.2g  CO_2 \times \frac{1mol CO_2}{44g} = 0.05 mole CO_2[/tex].
