step 1) phosphorus are in trees,rocks,animals and any other organims even plants underwater
step 2)animals such as cows and other plant eaters gain energy from it and we get energy from eating the animals who eat it
step3) the animal or organisms die and there body degrades making new phosphorus or energy and starting over again
