y-4x =0

3x+6y=9

making y subject in equation 1

y= 4x

put y into eqn 2

3x+6(4x) = 9

3x+24x = 9

27x=9

divide both sides by 27

x= 9/27

[tex]x = \frac{1}{3} [/tex]

y=4x

y= 4(1/3)

[tex]y = \frac{4}{3} [/tex]
