Answer:

Given the inequality: [tex]y < -2[/tex]

To, graph this we draw a horizontal line at y = -2.

The line will be dotted because the operator which used here  did not contains an " equal to" clause.

Now, we will shade below the line because the inequality operator is "less than "clause.

As you can see the graph below in the attachment for the given inequality y < -2
