Actin belongs to a family of globular multifunctional protein and myosin is a belongs a family of motor proteins. Both actin and myosin combines to form microfilaments. These are found in the eukaryotic cells. In humans and animals the combination of actin and myosin is responsible for contraction and relaxation of muscles in the presence of ATP.
