The consequences of sulfur dioxide emissions from Sudbury resulted in the decrease in the pH levels of soils and lakes over a period of time. This also impacted the quality of soil in the region. Vegetation decreased with time. The water bodies also got polluted and fishes and other animals living in water decreased.
