Animals that filter feeds are called filter feeder. These are a sub-group of feeding animals that eat by filtering the food from water. They use a specialized filtering system from their body to filter their food. Filter feeders are important in cleaning the water. Examples of these are baleen whales, clams, sponges and some fishes. Thus, all are animals which filter feeds except dolphins.
