how can i reflect a point over y=x axis and can you explain why that principle works​

Answer:

When you reflect a point over the y axis you keep the y and change the x .. for example ..

Reflect point (2,4) over the y axis ..

the new reflected point coordinations would be: (-2,4)

and vice versa with the x axis
