Write an equation in standard form for a line with a slope of -6 that includes the point (3,2).

6x + y = 20

Start with your point-slope formula

which is shown at the top.

Then plug in 2 and 3 in for the appropriate coordinates.

Then distribute.

Then isolate y.

Finally, add 6x to both sides to get it in standard form.
