The magnitude of the products are labeled as |u||v|sin a,

A = angle between the vectors

U= 2

V= 9

The angle between them is 45 degrees north-northeast, so we have

 (2)(9)sin(π/4)≈12.7

The new vector would be facing down, as stated by the right hand rule.
