let us rewrite the equation in much simplified form:
x^2 - 0.25x - 0.75 = 0
x^2 - 0.25x = 0.75
x^2 - 1/4 x + 1/64 =3/4 + 1/64
(x-1/8)^2 = 49/64
x−1/8=±49/64

x1=−3/4
x2=1
