If the first diver was already at -18 feet and then dived down an additional 30 feet, we add the two negative numbers together. The first diver is at -48 feet while the second diver is at -27 feet.

Answer:

Diver A is 21 ft below Diver B

Step-by-step explanation:

Diver A

-18 then goes down 30

-18 - 30 = -48

Diver B is at -27

Relationship

-48 - -27

-48+27 = -21

Diver A is 21 ft below Diver B
