30 inches = 30 in * (1 ft/12 in) = 30/12 = 15/6 = 5/2 = 1.5 feet

30 inches = 1.5 feet

The ratio "30 in to 2 ft" is the same as "1.5 ft to 2 ft"

The ratio 1.5:2 would turn into 3:4 after multiplying both parts by 2
