You may find tan ((3pi)/4) by 2 ways.
1. By the Trig Table (of Special Arcs)
Trig Table gives -->
tan (3π/4)=−1

2. By the trig unit circle.
tan (3π/4) = − tan(π)/4

On the trig unit circle, the segment
AT = tan ( π/4)

The triangle OAT is isosceles,
tan (π/4) = AT = OA = 1

Therefor
tan(3π/4) = − tan( π/4) = −1
