96 flowers did not bloom and 12 did.

= ⅑ of 108

= ⅑ × 108

= 108/9

= 12

So, number of flowers that did not bloom

= Total flowers - Number of flowers that bloomed

= 108 - 12

= 96

So, 96 flowers did not bloom and 12 flowers did.
