The United States has been the host the Olympic Games eight times, four times each for the Summer and Winter Olympics. The U.S. hosted its first Summer Olympics in 1904, in St. Louis. It also hosted the Summer Olympics in 1932 and 1984, both in Los Angeles, and in 1996, in Atlanta.
