Bus A and Bus B leave the bus depot at 5 pm.
Bus A takes 30 minutes to complete its route once and bus B takes 35 minutes to complete its route once.
If both buses continue to repeat their route, at what time will they be back at the bus depot together?
Assume the buses have no breaks in between routes.
Give your answer as a 12-hour clock time.

Time taken by bus A to complete its route = 30 min Β 

and , time taken by bus B to complete its route = 35 min

To find :

Time at which both bus back at the bus depot together .

Solution:

The HCF of the times taken to complete their routes will give the time at which they will be together . Β 

HCF of 30 and 35 is 210 . Β 

The buses will come together after 210 minutes of their deporting time . Β 

210 minutes = 3 hours and 30 minutes

The time at which both bus back at the bus depot together Β 

= Β ( 5:00 + 3:30 ) Β 

= 8:30 pm
