Northern abolitionists looked at the map in 1854 and they would have concerned as Southerners were all slave states and northern Abolitionists were in the middle of free states in fact southern slaveholders have been concerned looking at a map as slave states are slowly coming to an end and it could be soon have to give up their slave labor
