x+6y=4 (2)
2*(2)=2x+12y=8 (3)
(3)-(1)=9y=6
y=2/3
sub y=2/3 in (1)

2x + 12y = 8   -
___________
         -9y = -6
           ÷ -9
           y = 2/3

2x + (3 × 2/3) = 2
2x + 2 = 2
- 2
2x = 0
÷ 2
x = 0

So y = 2/3 or 0.6 recurring and x = 0. I hope this helps!
