If you want to find half of how many of something divide that number by two. For example if Diane has 8 quarters that you would say 8÷2= 4. So half of the number of quarters Diane has would be 4. Here is another way to do it: You could also multiply 8 by 1/2. And 8•1/2 would be 4. I hope this helps!
