mean and average are the same thing to calculate it you take all the given numbers and add them up. then divide by how many numbers you added up

Example: 1,3,5,7,9    1+3+5+7+9=25  then divide 25 by 5 and the mean is 5

Example: 30,30,15,10,50
the total of the numbers is 135.
there are 5 numbers so you will divide by 5
and the mean is 27
