1/5+x=11 how do you solve this ?

you would subtract 1/5 on the side with x and do the same to the other side so x would 11 + 1/5 so 11.20 i think

First subtract 1/5 from both sides to get
x=11-1/5  

To do 11-1/5, we have to multiply the 11 by 5 so the numbers have the same denominator

55/5-1/5 so this results in 54/5 or 10.8

So x= 10.8
