What do authors of fiction stories teach readers?

A fiction novel is a fake or made-up book that authors write to create an imaginary world for the readers. 
It teaches the reader to think differently and be more creative and imaginative. A non-fiction novel would be the opposite of fiction, being informational and about real life events that have occurred.
