Using the principle of proportional relationship, the cost per pound of strawberry is 3.19

Setting up the relationship thus :

8 pounds = 25.52

1 pound = x

Cross multiply

8x = 25.52

Divide both sides by 8

x = 25.52 / 8

x = 3.19
