Greetings!

"Solve for P: [tex]P-14/3=-5/6 [/tex]."...

[tex]P-14/3=-5/6 [/tex]
Add 14/3 to both sides.
[tex](P-14/3)+14/3=(-5/6)+14/3[/tex]
Simplify.
[tex]P=(-5/6)+14/3[/tex]
Find a common denominator for (-5/6)+14/3.
[tex]P=(-5/6)+28/6[/tex]
Simplify.
[tex]P=23/6[/tex]

The variable p, is equal to 23/6 or 3 5/6.

Hope this helps.
