= 6,000 + 300 + 70 + 8 + 1/10 - 2,000 - 900 - 80 - 1 - 1/10

= (6,000 - 2,000) + (300 - 900) + (70 - 80) + (8-1) + (1/10-1/10)

= 4,000 - 600 - 10 + 7 + 0

= 3,400 - 3 

= 3,397
