A. 4 is greater than -2(4) + 6 = -8 + 6 = -2 which is correct

That statement is untrue.

C. 1 is greater than -2(1) + 6 = 4

That statement is untrue.

D. 2 is greater than -2(2) + 6 = 2

That statement is untrue.

The answer is A since after you plug in 4 for x and y, the statement 4 > -2 is true. 4 IS greater than -2.
