There is no solutions.
      
6 ( y + 8 ) = 3 ( 2y - 7 )
6y + 48 = 6y - 21
      -48         -48
    6y = 6y - 27
    +27      +27
    33y÷33 = 6y÷33
          y=2/11 or 0.18
