It contains 3 fatty acid molecules and 1 glucose molecule.

In humans, lipids provide a second source of energy, it is also used to build up layers of cell membranes. They can also act as a shock absorber to protect out organs. Extra lipids not used are stored inside our body. In addition, they are digested by enzyme lipase.
