Most primatologists consider primate behavior to be learned,
and not instinctive. According to results of studies conducted by
primatologists over the years, it has been shown that in primates, the proportion of learned behavior noticeably
increased, and the proportion that is instinctive (i.e. under genetic control) is
reduced.
