6 because 4 tripled is 12 . And subtract 2 each day . It will take six days until you get zero

D1: 3(4) - 2 = 10
D2: 10 - 2 = 8
D3: 8 - 2 = 6
D4: 6 - 2 = 4
D5: 4 - 2 = 2
D6: 2 - 2 = 0 

So it would be 6 days until you reach zero. Another way you could do it is 12 divided by 2.
