A solution is basically two substances that are mixed together.. A solute is the substance to be dissolved (sugar). The solvent is the one doing the dissolving (water) Hoped i helped :D
A solute is the substance that is being dissolved into a solvent. The solvent is the liquid that the solute is being dissolved into.
Example: When you have CoolAid, the powder thing is the solute and the water is the solvent. The powder is being dissolved into the water to give it the color.
