volume of container=123=(12)(12)(12)=1728volume of container=123=(12)(12)(12)=1728

The volume of the container is 1728 in³.

volume of a plastic cube=33=(3)(3)(3)=27volume of a plastic cube=33=(3)(3)(3)=27

The volume of one plastic cube is 27 in³.

number of cubes to fill container=1728÷27=64number of cubes to fill container=1728÷27=64

So 64 plastic cubes are needed to fill the container.
