5/4= -4c + 1/4

Inverse operation

[tex] \frac{5}{4} = -4c + \frac{1}{4} [/tex]

- 1/4             -1/4

5/4 - 1/4 = 4/4

[tex] \frac{4}{4} = -4c[/tex]
-4c/-4  = 4/4 ÷ -4/1

4/4 *- 1/4 = c
-4/8 = c
c = -1/2

Answer:  [tex]c = - \frac{1}{2} [/tex]
